Учителя разных стран...

Просматривала блоги учителей из разных стран и обратила внимание на некоторые записи, которые я хотела бы прочитать ещё раз.

My Teaching Philosophy

I believe that all students deserve to be accepted, valued, and have the opportunity to learn in an environment that allows them to realize their potential. In order for students to feel accepted, they must be affirmed for who they are. I think it is important to have constant encouragement in the classroom so that students will have motivation to do their best in school. It is my job to make the classroom feel like a safe place to learn, by giving students the freedom to make mistakes. Students should be reminded that they are just going through learning experiences, not failures. It is important that students are encouraged to be lifelong learners by taking their love for learning beyond the classroom.
In order for students to feel valued, they need to be given the message through actions and words that they are worth it. When students are cared for, they will feel a part of a community. When students feel valued in the classroom they will care for their peers. This creates a positive environment because students will learn to enjoy themselves and celebrate their differences. A vital message that students need to hear is that they deserve respect and to show the same respect to others. Creating a classroom community is the first step in getting students to learn.
I believe the classroom is a place where students can learn according to their individual needs through adaptations, support, and differentiation. I want students to understand that everyone deserves to be treated fairly, but getting what is fair is not necessarily getting the same. Everyone learns differently and reaches the outcome in different ways. In my classroom, I want my students to be involved in the learning and to feel empowered to find their own answers, whether it is through technology, discussions, or hands on learning. My role as a teacher is to make sure that all my student’s needs are met and that they receive the tools necessary to do so.
I have a desire for my students to understand the importance of critical reflection and developing a deeper understanding. It is important for me to connect my teaching to my students’ lives through differentiation, inquiry, collaboration, and adaptations. I want to enable students to make their learning personal and meaningful. My classroom will give students a sense of acceptance, value, and belonging so that they are able to critically learn in a positive atmosphere and reach their full potential.
